Thobias Minzi’s map represents the 31 regions of Tanzania. The fabric chosen for each region represents the climate of the area. The map is dominated by the colors blue, yellow, black and green; blue represents the water, yellow the mining industry, black the people, and green symbolizes inheritance. Minzi uses television circuitry to represent landmark buildings and capitals. The circuits represent the modernization of the urban areas of Tanzania. Minzi’s map celebrates the rich diversity of the Tanzanian country and Tanzanian people.
