Drawn by Lerato Honde, this map is a collage of small sketches and phrases that depict aspects of everyday life in Malawi. The sketches include a man carrying firewood on a bicycle, a group of men beating drums, and a canoe paddling in Lake Malawi. Some text phrases include ‘Zikomo’ – Thank you, ‘Muli Bwanji?’ - How are you? And ‘Kalibu’ – Come and eat with us. The map was created from fine line drawings of different weights.
