George Mkubula's map depicts the Lilongwe District of Malawi. Lilongwe is the seat of the government where Capital Hill, the Parliament, and the Supreme Court of Appeal are located. Lilongwe is also the economic center of Malawi. Rural Lilongwe consists of seventeen traditional authorities. In this map, each authority is represented by a cultural icon or a traditional agricultural product. This brightly colored map celebrates the agricultural and cultural diversity of the economic and political hub of Malawi.
