Analuisa Alvarado’s brightly colored map incorporates elements of Guatemala’s natural environment, cultural symbols, and places of significance. From the traditional Mayan animal masks to the classic chicken buses, each image represents an important element of Guatemalan history and culture. Alvarado created the map with ink and watercolors and later digitized and edited it using Photoshop.
