Alejandra Marroquin and Carlos Violante's brightly colored and playful map celebrates the rich natural beauty and culture of Central America with its tropical rain forests, jungles, beaches, mountains, and volcanos. Marroquin and Violante’s map includes images of animals such as frogs, bats, and toucans that live in this biologically diverse region. Sadly, many of the plants and animals native to Central America are at risk of extinction. The artists digitized hand-drawn sketches to create a collage of images.
