Andrea Castañeda
Andrea Castañeda is a Honduran artist and environmentalist. Castañeda is from a family of artists and illustrators. She grew up creating art with her family and completed her first professional painting at age 15. Castañeda studied graphic design in Mexico City and at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Castañeda has illustrated children’s books and films and taught art classes to people of all ages. Her murals can be seen in Honduras, Mexico, Spain, and the United States. Castañeda's art focuses on the environment, endangered species, global awareness, and human rights. Her work spreads a pro-democracy message and advocates for peace and disarmament. Her native country of Honduras inspires her to paint the beauty of her natural surroundings and celebrate Honduran ecology and culture.
